Music is something that can be enjoyed by everyone. Whether you’re sitting down and listening to your favourite songs or actively playing an instrument, music acts as a tool to keep us engaged, busy, and happy.
At the begining of 2018 I started to deliver weekly music workshops with a group of residents at Tenlands Care Home in Ferryhill where they learned to play percussive instruments. The workshop blends fun with education and we often learn to play interesting and complex rhythms and then play them along to their favourite songs of yesteryear.
I have always believed that music should be accessible for everyone. The instruments that I provide are lightweight and can be used by those with any physical disability.
